Dwarf dragonslayer for Dogme48

Some friends of mine has gotten together and started their own little community named Chromanaut. They are; Kristian Simonsen, Tue Kaae, Bo Bjerregaard and Torben Ryde. They are all very talented and I am proud to call them fellow nerds.

This past weekend, they repeated an even we have tried a few times before: Dogme48. Basicaly, you get 48 hours straight to sculpt/build/put together a model and paint it to a competition standard. Seeing I came from the other end of the country, I wouldnt be able to participate all 48 hours so I chose a model of smaller size then most of the others; the new dwarf dragonslayer/unforged/white dwarf, as the model is known now a days ...

Hereby I present, Archaon lord og end times. Its the metal on foot edition I was given af a gift for some volenteer work. I used him has a test for my first real go at NMM. Cheers

Manfred Von Carstein - Bloodfrenzy forever!

A few years ago.. or should I say, quite a few years ago, I bought 2 Warhammer models: Manfred and Vlad Von Carsten. Two of the most feared special characters on the know Warhammer universe and also, might I add, two awesome models.

I spend a long time wondering how to paint them. I wanted Manfred to be blood red, but I didnt know how to make him interesting to look at. So I asked a good friend of mine, Tue (Yes, the Tue) and he tolled me: paint him green.... well, that was not what I expected, since I had just tolled him I wanted to paint him REALLY red.

Anyway, we finally got around to actually do the painting and a year later (yes... a year!) here it is. I brought it to Monte San Savino 2016 and it was the only thing I entered. The absolutely best piece I have ever done, much thx to Tue.

I hope you can see the point of the green. I am for one very happy with the result and it has opened my eyes to many more possibilities. Cheers.

Monte San Savino show 2016

So, this years Monte San Savino show is behind us... and yet not quit. After a barage of monstrously awesome models, both sculpted and painted, you cant really put it behind you, and you are not supposed to either. For some people, I am sure Monte San Savino is just a competition to find out how good they are, not to me though. It might be because I know I am not the best, by far, but to me its a source of inspiration to get better, to make even more amazing pieces and for the fantasy to be let lose. I have of course a lot of mental images, but I also did take a bunch of pictures I would like to share.

Pyretroll done

So, quite a while back I was invited to participate in a charitable even. All I needed to do was to paint a model of my own chois. Much has happened since then but here it is finally, my second pyretroll.

So, its been a while. The reason for this is that I have moved and my new nerd room has only just been completed. Here it is and I am looking forward to many good backbreaking hours in this room.

Now I need to get on with a troll :D

Deadpool, best movie of 2016

Last time I had cramps in my abs from laughing... I think its 10 years a go.
Last time I had tears rolling down my face from laughter..... probably also 10 years a go.
On that basis, I will go as far as saying, that deadpool is the best movie this entire year. Sure there will be other good movie, no doubt about that, this is just the movie that has brought me the best entertainment for a long time and therefore I am betting: a long time to come also.

See it, doesnt matter who you are, just see it. You might not like it afterwards, at least you have seen it and had the possibility to make you opinion.

More powerfist Vol. 2

So, the first model of Tue Kaaes powerfist guy has now been painted and and and... I finally got mine.

First, I'll show you the finished version of the model, painted by Kyle, the man behind Mr. Lee's Painting Imporium.

However, I also recieved mine.

Its delivered in a small hard plastic box, great for fragile resin models. There where almost no moldlines and the fitting is superb. I cleaned it and stickytacked it together.

So now, its all about playing with the brush :D
